Entry - Each entry costs £2 (money raised will go to EDFF “English Disabled Fly Fishers”). Registration forms are only available from SShoot Sportfishing (stand number 12) from 9.30am on the day of each discipline. All entrants are eligible to enter both disciplines.
Equipment - Competition equipment is provided by SShoot Sportfishing for each event and will consist of the SShoot Silver Tip 10ft 7wt & 9ft 5wt fly rods with SlickStream fly lines.
Preparation - One test cast is allowed to create slack line in preparation for qualifying casts.
Start - The fly must be in the caster's hand. Line is permitted through the tip ring, no father than the hauling zone.
Casting - Each entrant has three minutes and may make as many casts as they can in that time. Each entrant must be standing on the casting platform when they compete. The fly must land within the casting lane. The caster may indicate if they do not want a cast to be measured. Eligible casts will be measured as quickly a possible but the fly must remain on the ground until the judge indicates the caster can continue.
Casting lane - 3-4 meters wide. The Line and fly must be presented within the casting lane to qualify.
Final Shootout - the top three casters in each discipline will cast in a final shootout at 3.30pm on that day.
Adverse Weather Conditions- In the event of heavy winds at any time during the competition the casting lane will be widened for that period only.
