SShoot Sportfishing - SlickStream Distance Fly Line AFTM 7

This is the latest line from SShoot Sportfishing and has been developed particularly for sea trout fishermen. It has a 'hauling zone' marked on it and boasts that it will improve your distance and accuracy.
The line was used on a 10 ' 7 weight Sage XP and loop reel. The line is white with an orange section indicating the 'hauling zone'. The line loaded the rod well and when false casting showed good balance producing tight loops. Using the 'hauling zone' to single haul produced a good increase in line speed and distance cast. Double hauling with this line using the 'hauling zone' created good line speed, tight loops and the line cast almost effortlessly. The distance cast was impressive with only minimal hauls. Roll casting using this line is very effective and when roll cast in conjunction with the 'hauling zone', line was shot with good effect.
Overall a very impressive line to use. The marked 'hauling zone' will be useful for experienced and inexperienced fishers alike. The ability to shoot a good distance using just a single haul will be of benefit to the sea trout angler who requires a minimum of casting movement when fishing in the dark. For those that teach casting the use of the 'hauling zone' to show pupils the correct way to load the rod before hauling is in our opinion an excellent innovation. This line can and will improve your distance casting and accuracy as it removes the effort that can often spoil casts causing accuracy to decrease.
